About CTET
CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is a national-level eligibility test conducted by CBSE for candidates aspiring to become teachers in central government schools (KVS, NVS, and other schools under the central government).
The exam has two papers: Paper I is for candidates aspiring to teach Classes I-V (Primary), and Paper II is for Classes VI-VIII (Upper Primary). Candidates can appear for both papers. Topics include Child Development and Pedagogy, Language, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and Science/Social Studies.
CTET qualification is mandatory for teaching positions in central government schools and is also accepted by many state government and private schools across India. The CTET certificate is valid for lifetime.

CTET Eligibility Criteria
For Paper I (Primary): Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4-year B.El.Ed or 2-year D.Ed. For Paper II (Upper Primary): Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks and B.Ed or equivalent qualification.
