SRM IST Launches Centre for AI and Quantum Computing Research in Chennai Campus
SRM Institute of Science and Technology has inaugurated a dedicated Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing Research at its main Kattankulathur campus in Chennai. The facility, established with an investment of ₹42 crore, will focus on applied research in quantum algorithms, machine learning infrastructure, and next-generation semiconductor systems.The centre is set to operate in collaboration with IBM Quantum Network and the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.
