Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), part of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), is one of India's premier private engineering institutes. Founded in 1957 and consistently ranked among the top 15 private engineering colleges in India (NIRF), MIT Manipal offers 21 B.Tech specialisations grouped into 5 fee categories, along with 25+ M.Tech programmes and doctoral research opportunities. Admissions are primarily through MET (Manipal Entrance Test), with 20% of General category seats also filled via JEE Main.
B.Tech Programmes
MIT Manipal offers 21 B.Tech specialisations organised into fee groups: Group A (CSE, AI & ML, FinTech, Mathematics & Computing) at the highest fee tier, through to Group E (Biomedical, Biotechnology, E&I, Industrial, Printing & Media) at the most affordable tier. Merit is determined by 50% MET score + 50% 10+2 marks. The curriculum emphasises practical engineering skills through labs, industry projects, and MAHE's extensive international exchange programmes.
Postgraduate & Research Programmes
M.Tech programmes span 25+ specialisations admitted through MET or GATE scores. MIT Manipal also offers Ph.D. opportunities across all engineering departments. Note: MBA is offered by TAPMI (a separate MAHE institution) and B.Arch by MSAP - both outside MIT Manipal.

MAHE applies 8-10% annual fee escalation for subsequent batches. Hostel fees range ₹1.0 - ₹2.0 lakh/year depending on room type. Refundable caution deposit of ₹10,000.
