Doctoral - PhD (4-6 years, 40+ departments) and Integrated PhD (5-6 years, for Bachelor's degree holders). In total, IISc offers programmes across 40+ departments organized in six academic divisions.
Admission routes vary by programme. B.S. (Research): Through JEE Main (Physical/Mathematical Sciences) or NEET UG (Biological Sciences). Note: KVPY, the former admission route, was discontinued in 2022. M.Tech: Valid GATE score is mandatory, followed by IISc departmental interview. M.Sc: IIT JAM or IISc Entrance Test.
