BITS Pilani Launches M.Tech Programme in AI and Machine Learning from 2026-27 Academic Year
Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani has announced the introduction of a new M.Tech programme in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, set to commence from the 2026-27 academic year. The programme, approved by UGC and AICTE, will admit 60 students annually and is designed in collaboration with industry partners including NVIDIA, Adobe, and Flipkart.

For B.Tech programmes, candidates must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. Admission is merit-based through BITSAT scores.
For postgraduate programmes (M.Tech, MBA, M.Sc, MCA), candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university. MBA programmes accept graduates from any stream with a bachelor's degree. M.Tech programmes require relevant engineering background, while M.Sc requires science background.
For B.Sc and BCA programmes, Class 12 pass with Mathematics is required. Selection is based on BITSAT performance and academic merit. Candidates from all board streams are eligible to apply.
