BITS Pilani has a unique Practice School (PS) system - a mandatory 5.5-month industrial internship in Year 3 (PS-1) and a 5.5-month thesis/internship in Year 4 (PS-2). Placement Process

1. Placement Unit Registration (August): Students in their final year register with the Placement Unit of their respective campus.
2. Pre-Placement Talks (September-October): Companies conduct presentations; students shortlist companies they want to apply to.
3. Day 0/Day 1 (November-December): Premium companies (Goldman Sachs, Google, Microsoft, DE Shaw, McKinsey) recruit on Day 0/1. The ₹1.02 Crore offer was a Day 0 offer from a quant firm.
4. Main Season (January-March): Bulk of companies recruit. Multiple offers allowed with a 48-hour decision window.
5. Dream/Super-Dream Policy: Students can sit for higher-CTC ("dream") companies even after accepting an offer, up to a defined CTC threshold.
