NITK Surathkal Launches Centre for Blue Economy and Coastal Engineering Research
National Institute of Technology Karnataka Surathkal has formally inaugurated a new Centre for Blue Economy and Coastal Engineering Research (CBECER), leveraging its unique geographic advantage on the Karnataka coastline. The centre will focus on sustainable ocean resource utilisation, port and harbour infrastructure, coastal erosion modelling, and marine renewable energy systems.The initiative, backed by a grant from the Ministry of Earth Sciences, brings together faculty from civil, mechanical, and ocean engineering departments.
