Key Admission Facts
Exam difficulty: ISI entrance (UGA/UGB) is considered at par with IIT-JEE in difficulty for mathematics. Many ISI aspirants simultaneously prepare for JEE and CMI (Chennai Mathematical Institute). Top Math Olympiad performers often target ISI.
MS (QE) for Economics: ISI's MS in Quantitative Economics uses a separate entrance - one of India's toughest economics exams. Cutoff is approximately 55-65% (PSA + PSB). Only 30 seats across ISI Kolkata and Delhi.
