IIT Guwahati Launches Northeast India's First Quantum Computing Research Centre
IIT Guwahati inaugurated the Northeast India Quantum Computing Research Centre (NIQCRC) on its Guwahati campus, marking a significant milestone for advanced research in the region. B.Tech and B.Des (Undergraduate): Candidates must have passed 12th standard from a recognized board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. You must qualify JEE Main and appear in JEE Advanced. Generally, candidates are required to secure at least 75% marks in 12th (or be in the top 20 percentile of their board) to be eligible for JEE Advanced.
M.Tech and M.Des (Postgraduate): Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in the relevant engineering discipline (B.Tech/BE) or equivalent from a recognized university. Admission to M.Tech programmes is through the GATE examination (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) or IIT Guwahati's own entrance test. M.Des typically requires a qualifying entrance examination and portfolio submission.
