IIT Indore Launches M.Tech Programme in AI and Data Science from Academic Year 2026-27
Indian Institute of Technology Indore has announced the launch of a new M.Tech programme in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, set to commence from the academic year 2026-27. The programme will admit 30 students annually through GATE scores and will be offered jointly by the Departments of Computer Science and Mathematics.

Indian Institute of Technology Indore concluded its placement season for the 2025-26 academic year with record-breaking results, achieving an average package of ₹28.4 LPA — a 12% increase over the previous year. Over 320 students received offers from more than 110 companies across sectors including technology, finance, and core engineering.

Indian Institute of Technology Indore secured the 14th position in the engineering category of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 released by the Ministry of Education, improving two places from its 2024 standing. B.Tech Programmes: Applicants must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a recognized board. Mathematics and Physics are compulsory subjects at the 10+2 level. Candidates must qualify in JEE Main and secure a rank within the cutoff determined by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). Eligibility also depends on meeting the General Educational Qualification (GEQ) as per JEE guidelines.
M.Tech Programmes: Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university, or a Bachelor's degree in Science with relevant specialization.
