NMIMS University Mumbai has announced the launch of a new two-year MBA specialisation in Sustainable Business and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Strategy, set to commence with the 2026-27 academic intake. The programme, developed in collaboration with industry partners including Tata Sustainability Group and EY India, is designed to meet the growing demand for sustainability-focused management professionals in Indian and global markets.The curriculum will cover ESG reporting frameworks, climate risk finance, circular economy models, and impact investing, with mandatory internships at sustainability-focused organisations.

NMIMS (Deemed-to-be) University, Mumbai, has successfully retained its NAAC A++ accreditation following a peer team visit conducted by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council in February 2026. The assessment team evaluated the university across seven criteria including curricular design, teaching-learning processes, research output, infrastructure, and institutional values.NMIMS received particular commendation for its research ecosystem, with the peer team highlighting a 34% year-on-year increase in Scopus-indexed publications and the establishment of three new inter-disciplinary research centres on its Vile Parle campus in 2025.
